Published in 1905 and written by Alfred Gibson and William Pickford this four volume set is a cornerstone of any football library. Seddon's Football Compendium says"they are generally regarded as the most sought after set of books in football literature". Each volume has just over 200 pages with numerous team photographs and illustrations. Thes sets are not that difficult to source but they are difficult to find in decent condition..Very frequently the illustated boards have deteriorated particularly to the spines. The set for sale here is in FINE condition save for a little light scattered foxing to some of the contents.The covers ,with the illustration of the footballer in white to the front cover and spine to each volume are in fabulous condition without any restoration..
